Reginald L "Reggie" Ramsey Tuesday, December 30, 1941 - Wednesday, March 15, 2017
Reginald L Ramsey (Reggie) wanted to let everyone know that he has reached the last stop on his route March 15, 2017 and is looking forward to seeing everyone again for a drink and few laughs whenever the time comes. Reggie was born on December 30, 1941 and created a lot of great memories for all of us in his 75 years. He was a loyal friend and a devoted father and husband. He leaves behind his beautiful wife, companion, friend, and caretaker Barb. They were married for 55 years and created a wonderful family with 3 kids and two grandchildren. Doug Ramsey and his partner David reside in Indianapolis, as does his oldest daughter Sherry Ramsey. The baby of the family Nicole Meding and her husband Larry reside in Mokena, IL. His two best buddies (grandchildren) were Kyle (20) and Karleen (16) Meding, he was so proud of them and he would light up whenever they entered the room. He also had a close relationship with his two sisters Patti (Gene) Frantz Highland, IN, and Kim (Steve) Meadows Wheatfield, IN. He always looked forward to his lunches with Gene and was proud of all his nieces and nephews. Reggie was quick with a smile, loved a good joke, and enjoyed his Sunday afternoon meetings with the jags watching and commiserating about the Chicago Bears, life and occasionally politics…you never knew what insight would come out of those meetings. Reggie would talk to anyone and had too many friends to list. Reggie worked for Coca-Cola for 42 years. He took pride in his work and was particularly proud of his Christmas displays. Reggie is excited to reunite with those that have reached their last stop before him particularly his mother and father Ruth and Norviel Ramsey. A visitation will be held at the Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 8580 Wicker Ave in St. John from 11 am until the time of service at 2 pm on Saturday, March 18, 2017. Burial services will be private. Reggie would jokingly tell his friends that “we’re friends until the end my friend, but I'm afraid this is the end.” However, we all know this is not the end, it is just the beginning and we will meet again my friend! Donations in Reggie’s memory to your favorite charity would be appreciated.
