Edwin Massa Obituary

Edwin A. Massa, age 86 of Griffith, passed away Friday, March 25, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Massa; daughters, Judith Massa, Denise (David) Mathews and Jill (M.J. Edwards) Massa; sons, Michael Massa, Edwin Massa, Jr. and Jack (Peg) Massa; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Tillie Massa; brother, Kenneth Massa; and sister, Maxine Wilson. Funeral services will be directly at St. Mary Church, 525 N. Broad St., Griffith on Wednesday March 30, 2016 with a visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the mass at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Theodore J. Mens officiating. Burial Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville. Friends may meet with the family at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 2828 Highway Ave., Highland on Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Edwin loved camping, fishing and traveling, wintered in Florida. He was an original founder and officer of the Griffith Girls Softball League, he also enjoyed spending time with his extended family and brick laying family
